The Communion Ministry comprises the Communion Ministers (also known as Extraordinary Ministers) who are appointed by the Parish Priest.
The purpose and mission of the Communion Ministry is to assist the Parish Priests in distributing Holy Communion during Mass and to bring the Blessed Sacrament to parishioners who are home-bound, sick or disabled.
Members of the Communion Ministry attend various formation programmes organized by the Archdiocesan liturgical commission as well as the SIC Formation Team to equip them to carry out their mission fully.
