Upon registration, couples will be advised on the conditions and procedure for marriage in Church particularly with reference to Pre-Nuptial Inquiry (PNI) and Catholic Marriage Preparation Course (CMPC).

For a step-by-step guide to getting married in St. Ignatius Church , please refer to the Procedure section below.

If a couple intends to be married in the St. Ignatius Church and desires the Wedding Mass to be celebrated by a Catholic priest from a different parish, please contact the Parish Priest of St. Ignatius Church to seek permission.

In the case of a mixed marriage, where one of the couple is not a Catholic, a wedding service will be held. However, if the couple intends to have full Mass (with Eucharist) they should contact the Parish Priest who will then recommend and seek approval from the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur for such a marriage to take place. For such cases, the non-Catholic party should understand the meaning and significance of the Eucharist.

If a Catholic wishes to marry in a church of another denomination, temple or in other places, he / she must contact the Parish Office. A PNI will be carried out, after which the Parish Priest will seek approval from the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur for the Catholic partner to be married outside the Catholic Church.

Catholics who have not been married in the church and wish to solemnize their marriage may contact the Parish Priest to make arrangements for a convalidation of marriage in the church.
