Parish Communication Team (PCT)
The role of the Parish Communication Team is to manage and maintain the St Ignatius Church (SIC) Website in making it an important channel to disseminate information to parishioners. The scope of its activities include the design, updating and upgrading of SIC webpages. Formerly known as the Parish Communication Ministry, PCT also publishes the Ignation - a quarterly newsletter which has been discontinued due to a shortage of articles.
The newly-designed website was launched on Easter Sunday in April 2009, which for the first time also included a Mandarin section. It's completion in only about two months was due to the tireless efforts of PCT members despite working on a part-time basis. PCT members also provide support to the church's multi-media requirements, in the form of hardware support in areas such as:
- special video presentations and announcements during Mass, and
- video projection outside the church of Christmas Midnight Mass proceedings.
PCT members also help out as photographers for all major church events.
