About the Senior Citizens Group
The Senior Citizens Group (SCG) provides an avenue for matured parishioners to come together.
The SCG was formed with the following aims and objectives:
- To renew acquaintances, make new friends and to provide opportunity for growth and self-development in various fields of interest to the members.
- To organize activities so as to minimize isolation and loneliness.
- To provide better spiritual and mental well-being.
Primary Activities of the SCG
Activities organized by the SCG include:
- Local excursions, pilgrimages and overseas trips.
- Tea dances
- Karaoke and sing-along sessions
- High tea
- Outreach activities such as visits to orphanages and old folks’ homes
- Manning Church Service Counters
Joining the SCG
The SCG is open to parishioners of St. Ignatius Church aged 50 years and above. Membership forms are available from the Church Service Counter on Sundays before and after the 9:00 a.m. Mass.
